Website Development

Search Engine Optimisation

SEO (search engine optimisation) is the process of making your website more findable by potential customers.

There are a few parts to SEO:

  • On-page SEO:  Keeping content relevant and up-to-date, optimised and designed with the customer in mind.
  • Technical SEO: Descriptions, file management and other ‘magic’ that happens behind the scenes.
  • Profiles: Ensuring your search engine profile reflects your business (services offered, geography, contact details etc).
  • Links: Internal and external links are important, but also ‘backlinks’ (links from others sites into yours) need to be included.

Work on SEO includes conversations about which ‘keywords’ and phrases you want to appear in search results for.  We then perform research and decide on an SEO strategy that reflects both your business capacity and the needs of customers.

Hosting

If your site needs a home, we will put together a suitable hosting package.  This can be extremely efficient if taken in conjunction with our site development as we will tie the work together giving you additional savings.

The hosting includes site management to remove any worries you have about backups and viruses.

Advertising

Sometimes known as search advertising, or PPC (pay-per-click).  

This digital option gives you several advantages over traditional methods:

  1. Pay for conversions, not adverts:  A conversion in when someone clicks on your advert, not when they see it.  You then know that you’re only paying for people who are interested in what you’re selling.
  2. Target your audience:  you decide the type of customer you want to market to (age, georgraphy, interests etc).  Your advert then pitches to those people only.
  3. Track the progress:  Full reporting options let you see how well your advert is performing.  You can then tailor it (content, demographics etc) to get the best from your marketing budget.  A/B testing is the process of running 2 adverts side by side and seeing which one does best – a great option to maximise return.

We start with finding out what customers you want to talk to.  We can then pick a platform or 2 to speak from.  Social media is all about presenting your brand in a consitant manner, finding out what people are saying about it, and tweaking the message bit by bit.  It’s not always an immediate game changer, but it can be part of a longer term plan to build reputation and brand loyalty from a larger customer base.  This will give you long term stability for a very small outlay.
